Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 large onions, cut into wedges
- 1 lb button mushrooms
Marinade for steak
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon, juice
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
Instructions
- Begin by marinating the steak (do this a minimum of 4 hours ahead of time). Combine all ingredients along with the steak in a ziplock bag. Refrigerate for 4 hours or up to overnight. Skewer meat, red bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms onto skewers. Grill for 10-15 minutes, rotating every few minutes, until meat is cooked through and veggies are tender. If you wish to do this in the oven, like I was forced to (grill was out of gas), you can elevate the skewers on a baking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. No need to turn them if done in the oven. I like to serve my kebobs on the skewers and let everyone take the meat/veggies off themselves.
