If you are a foodie like me and obsess over weird foods from far away lands, then the H+L Asian Market in North Charleston is a must to add to your Charleston Bucket List.

The store has every Asian ingredient one could think of from 20 different kinds of soy sauces to frozen dumplings to seafood to Asian-style snacks (many not written in English) at super cheap prices.

I often find myself making the drive to gather ingredients for Asian pork or pasta dishes. I should warn you though- this place had a funky smell coming from the seafood section, but that shouldn’t deter you from exploring.

The restaurant at the front of the store, Pho #1, serves steamy bowls of noodle heaven, and most for under $10. Order the Roasted Duck with egg noodles & thank me later.
