Ingredients
- 1 large red bell pepper
- 2/3 cup canned tomato puree
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
Instructions
- Preheat your broiler. Place the pepper on a baking sheet and cook until all sides are heavily charred, turning with tongs, 15 minutes. Once the pepper is cool enough to handle (give it a good 10 minutes), cut it open and remove the stem, seeds, and membranes. Add it to a blender along with the remaining ingredients and puree until smooth. Transfer to a small saucepan and simmer on medium heat until thick, 15 minutes. Transfer back to the blender to make it as smooth as possible, and serve over steak! Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
