Ingredients
- 1 1/3 sticks butter, softened
- 2 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large apple, peeled and chopped fine
- 4 heath bars, chopped fine
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9X13 baking pan with pam. Cream the butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl with a mixer. Add in the eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, 1/2 at a time. Fold in the apples and health bar pieces. Spread into the pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before cutting into bars, 2 hours. I like to refrigerate my bars to speed up the cooling process.
